The room was spacious and really comfortable, which was a nice surprise. There were fruits and two big bottles of drinks waiting for us, which felt like a great touch. The street view was classic and made the stay even better. Definitely helped us unwind after walking around Lucerne. Also, the staff were super kind and recommended some good food spots nearby. Overall, we enjoyed the room and all the amenities it offered.

The hotel boasts an unbeatable location right across from the train station and offers spacious rooms. However, the loud noises from a nearby bar and the lack of air conditioning made for an uncomfortable experience, especially during the summer heat.

The elegant baroque architecture and grand lobby truly transported me into a timeless ambiance. Accessibility was excellent—even a senior could navigate effortlessly from the train station to the cozy reception area.
More comfortable seating in common areas.

missingWrote a review on Nov 04historical charmideal locationnoise disturbances
Conveniently located just a minute from the train station, making it an easy spot to access. The decor reflects a historical charm with the architecture reminiscent of a different era, which adds a unique touch to the experience.
Staying during a busy New Year's Eve, the junior suite proved to be intolerably noisy due to a disco upstairs, making it impossible to sleep despite its price of 400 francs. After a fitful night, a change of rooms only yielded slight improvement, and the overall size of the suite didn’t quite justify the cost. Additionally, the lack of response from management regarding the noise complaints, coupled with feelings of being taken for granted as loyal guests, left a disappointing mark on the experience.

Staying here with my large family was a delight! The reception staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. Conveniently located near the ferry terminal, we enjoyed a stunning boat ride on the lake. The breakfast spread was just right for our crew, with fresh pastries and hearty options.
My kids wished there were more family-friendly activities available at the hotel to keep them entertained during our downtime.

Staying at Monopol Luzern had its ups and downs. The location felt perfect, just across from the train station. Getting around was easy. My room had spacious proportions, with a nice view of the surrounding area. The staff showed genuine friendliness and provided helpful suggestions for local dining options. Unfortunately, air conditioning didn't work properly during my stay, making it stuffy at times. I also worried about the noise from the street, which could be disruptive, especially during weekends. Eventually, I became frustrated with the limited Wi-Fi, which catered to only one device per guest. Overall, the hotel had charm and potential but could improve in comfort and convenience aspects. Room size and staff friendliness stood out to me, but the air conditioning and noise detracted significantly from the experience.

missingWrote a review on Aug 22unbeatable locationodd bathroom layout
The hotel’s location was unbeatable, just steps away from the train station. The spacious room provided a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for winding down after long sightseeing days.
However, the bathroom layout was quite odd, with no privacy set-up. It was a little awkward when shared among friends, and it lacked essential amenities like air conditioning.

The location was fantastic, right next to the train station, making it convenient for transportation. I enjoyed the spacious room, and the prompt service from the staff who provided complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch. However, there was a persistent issue with the wifi, which was slow and unreliable, making it difficult for my work tasks. Additionally, the noise from the street below was bothersome at times, particularly on weekends.
